Thomas B. Gillette, MD - Ophthalmologist

Dr. Gillette attended Cornell University for his undergraduate studies and worked in corneal tissue donation and transplantation before attending medical school at Tulane University in New Orleans. He completed his internship in internal medicine at the University of Washington and residency in ophthalmology at the University of South Florida in Tampa, where he served as chief resident in his senior year.

He is passionate about corneal transplantation, interventional glaucoma management, and refractive cataract surgery. His goal for all of his patients is to get to know them and their families on a personal level, so that together they can make the best decisions regarding their care and their visual outcomes.

Dr. Gillette was born and raised in Seattle, WA, but now considers Albuquerque home. He and his fiancée, Nina, are the proud parents of three fur babies: two cats and a dog.

In his free time, he loves being outside in the garden, biking in the bosque, trail running with his dog, Rainier, in the Sandias, or skiing up in Santa Fe.
